Gaku Homma Sensei was one of the last uchi deshi of O'Sensei Ueshiba. In 1968, just a few months before O'Sensei passed away, Homma was only 18. He moved to USA in 1976 where he founded the Nippon Kan. In this memorial he describes his life with Ueshiba. Site - (In english)

The day I entered the Ueshiba Dojo

Tada Sensei is the one who built up solid basis for Aikido to spread in Italy. He arrived in Rome on October 26th, 1964 and lived steadily in Italy as long as the Aikikai of Italy was organized (read his story here).
