SHUMEIKAI ITALIA & TAMURA SHIHAN
 Takehaya Dojo is founder partner of the Shumeikai Italia Association. Established in 2005, the association brings togheter 8 Dojo and 250-something practicioners.
Shumeikai Italia provides an important reference to all affiliated dojo and aikidoka. It has been bring into being by a small group of young teachers whose motivation was to study in depth, encourage and strengthen the teachings of Tamura Sensei.
Tamura Nobuyoshi has been uchi deshi of O'Sensei Morihei Ueshiba and was sent to France in 1964 (at 21) right after he married his wife Rumiko. There he became responsible for Aikido to spread. Now he is in charge of Aikido in Europe for the Zaidan Hojin Aikikai of Tokyo.
To achieve their goal, founders of Shumeikai Italia propose several activities - as seminars, to closely study Tamura's method, with him and with those european Master Teachers whose technique is mostly close to that of Tamura Sensei himself.
Therefore Shumeikai Italia offers several occasions of intensive practice during seminars held by Renè Van Droogenbroeck, Stephane Benedetti, Malcolm Tiki Shewan whose approch to Aikido simplifies the understanding of Tamura's example.
